The successful candidate will have the ability to analyse and validate the Company’s manufacturing processes and to maintain such validation. You must be able to anticipate and meet new quality and regulatory developments affecting the Company’s business.

Ideally the candidate will have a working knowledge of ISO:9001 along with Quality requirements in an electro-mechanical environment and familiarity of PPAP’s, SPC’s, CPK’s, 8D Reporting and 5Why Analysis. You will need sound IT skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. The ability to read and understand technical drawings along with measuring components with various measuring equipment is a necessity.

As a requirement you will need good analytical skills and good oral and written communication skills, coupled with accurate and clear articulation of information. Technical knowledge sufficient to be competent and authoritative in the role is a necessity as is the ability to resolve problems, at times, under pressure.

Injection Moulding Manager is required by this Littlehampton based company.

This highly successful business has an extensive experience in product development, mould tooling, plastic injection moulding, assembly and final production. The company serves a range of markets including the Automotive, Beverage, Brewery, Pharmaceutical and Personal Product Industries.

A vacancy has arisen for an Injection Moulding Manager who has a good knowledge of the injection moulding process on a range of engineering materials and easier commodity plastics. The ideal candidate will need a thorough knowledge of new tool commissioning and qualification, and must have the ability to manage the day to day upkeep and running of the mould shop, along with good leadership skills and the ability to supervise technical staff and give guidance on all aspects of problem solving on tools and process.

Knowledge of CPK and Process Capability is needed to allow good liaison with the Quality Manager at all times.

The Injection Moulding Manager will be part of the Management Team and will attend Management Meetings, giving updates and feedback from all aspects of the mould shop and factory including Continuous Improvement Program.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure all orders are processed to the ‘Best Standard’ demanded by our customers, in addition to being responsible for all aspects of maintenance for tooling, machines and ancillary equipment and general factory upkeep to standards demanded by the Directors. Process and Tooling related qualifications with some 3 Phase and Single Phase Electrical knowledge would be an advantage.

This is very much a practical role with IT skills being a necessity including PowerPoint and Excel.

Hours of work will be 9:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday with half an hour lunch break per day.  The salary is circa £40,000-£45,000 per annum with a holiday package of 25 days plus all bank and public holidays.

The successful candidate must be FETA certified, able to liaise with customers and proactive in generating new sales opportunities. This role (8am to 2pm) will be paid basic salary plus commission.
